Hey guys, what’s up? Today I, McKenna Brooks, am going to teach you an important life lesson-how to properly fake being sick in 9 easy steps.
Let’s get started!
The sun shines through your window, waking you up.
Look out the window. You really don't want to go to school today.
As you roll out of bed, a thought occurs in your mind.
Hey, why not fake being sick today?
First, take a hair dryer. Blow some of that hot air onto your forehead so it feels like you're burning up.
Try to look as miserable as you possibly can. Moan and call out your sister’s name.
One of your sisters, probably the eldest, will come in to see what’s wrong.
You cough and sniffle. “I think I’m sick.” Your sibling feels your forehead and a look of horror flashes across her face. You see folks, that's why we use the blow dryer!
As your sister runs to call your school to tell them you'll be home that day, give yourself a pat on the back. Congratulations! You must be a very good actress/actor ;)
Once the school is notified, she brings you some breakfast in bed. Complain that only pancakes will make you feel better.
Now is the time your siblings leave for school. They begrudgingly mumble a goodbye to you. Smile innocently and wave.
One of them is bound to suspiciously come over and tell you they know you're not really ill.
WAIT! Relax! Don't panic. You MUST not give in. Cry, offended that she/he would think so low of you. Wave your sibling out of the room, while bawling your eyes out. Now this takes some real acting!
Flabbergasted, your sibling will flee the room, muttering under their breath. Step 6 complete!
Even though your siblings are gone, you can't party just yet. Casually read a magazine or a book.
Now your older sibling will mosey in. They will tell you: "McKenna, I'm going out to get groceries. Hang in there." Tell him/her politely to have a great trip and wait until the garage door closes.
*Shake it off, Shake it off yeah yeah, Shake it off, Shake it off*
"I forgot my wallet."
The moral of the story is: When you fake being sick, always make sure your sibling has their wallet. Well...see ya next time!
I hope you enjoyed this photostory! It was so much fun to make. If you like it, please comment and follow. Bye!
Hi! First of all, I am sooo sorry I didn't post last week. I had a fever and had to rest. Anyway, here's my post now! American Girl had a huge new summer release. Today I’ll be showing you all of the new items and my opinions on them. Let’s get started!
-All of these images were found on Americangirl.com
-I will not be including all of the accesories and the pet items.
-I will not be including Wellie Wishers, Bitty Babies, and girl clothes/items.
This doll looks stunning! Her green eyes go well with her blond hair.
This doll looks like Kanani, don't you think? Is it a coincidence? Was it on purpose? Either way, she is beautiful! I won't be getting her because I have Kanani, but I believe she would be a wonderful substitute for people who don't have her.
I think it's lovely that AG put a new skin tone in the Truly Me line! I also love that they gave her a Josefina face mold.
I love this! However, AG could have put a little bit more effort into it. They could have at least put a ladder! The pillow on the bottom bunk is adorable, though XD
I know a bunch of kids would like this set. Me? Considering I’ve never touched a controller in my life? Uhh....the chair’s swell! I know you can hook it up to music!
When girls play with this set, they will learn to be happy...and healthy! XD I like this. AG has made ice cream stands, but never garden stands! What a cool idea!
This is cute. They could’ve included popcorn though! I’m glad that AG didn’t make it like, $50.
This is way overpriced. Those bows are sooo cute, though! They would look adorable in Caroline’s hair!
This set is so cool! I think it’s a really creative idea.
The mini chopsticks are adorable 😍
Yay! American Girl hasn’t made a car in a while, I’m glad they finally did! It’s cool that you can control it. It looks very realistic. If it wasn’t totally out of my price range, this would be added to my wishlist :p
This looks like a fun set. The pet door doesn’t make sense to me, but I still think it’s adorable ;)
This is cool, but it could use some pizzaz! *jazz hands* I definitely don’t think it should be $30.
I know some younger audiences would like this. It’s a nice idea 👍
This set is WAY overpriced. Not counting that, it looks like a swell set. The flower headband is pretty!
This is a cute outfit! The popsicle flannel is really sweet, and the pants really pop! Plus, I love me some headbands❤️
This outfit is so cute!!!!! I love the shoes and the shirt! The hat is also really awesome and I can always use an extra pair of jean shorts:)
I can imagine McKenna exploring in this outfitXD I love the camoflouge! But why is jungle camo the most famous? I guess we will never know...
I do not do cheerleading, so I’m not positive, but I think this is what cheerleaders actually wear. Again, I love the bow❤️
This is not my favorite. The top and the leggings kind of look like a jumpsuit to me, when the purple jacket is tied on. The pattern is nice!
McKenna would love this! I like the pattern on the shirt.
Im happy AG made such cute basketball shoes! This outfit looks realistic, I know lots of people will like that.
SO SPARKLY! I really do love this outfit. It has a creative, jazzy vibe to it.
I love all of the pieces in this set. There is so many, yet American Girl managed to pull it off. I especially like the blazer and the shirt!
I was disappointed when I saw this dress. All of the GOTYs have a fancy dress in their collection, and I was looking forward to Luciana’s. When I saw it, I was flabbergasted. Why all that black? Oh well, at least the headband is cute.
Awww, Nanea looks like a little baby doll in this dress! This outfit is nice, you can tell AG went for a bow theme.
This looks so authentic! The boots are cool and the flannel is fun.
I love the purple pattern on the shoes! This outfit is cool beans!
The pants look super cool to me.
LOL! This is crazy cute! I’ve never had sushi, but this pajama set makes me want to try it!
Well, that concludes my review post. Do you like any of these items? Let me know in the comments and don't forget to follow! Have a splendid day! Also, what kind of posts would you like me to do? I would love to hear some suggestions!
Hi! Yesterday my mom and I went to Kohl’s and I saw the American Girl Section. I noticed an outfit I've had my eye on for a while: the Cute & Comfy Lounge Set. However, I didn't know if I wanted to spend $20 on it. My mom told me she would buy it for me as a reward for getting good grades in school. I immediately agreed! I thought I would review it for you guys. Let's do this!
The Cute & Comfy Lounge Set for 18-inch dolls comes with three pieces- a tunic, pants, and a headband. Personally, I wish the outfit had shoes, but I understand that it doesn't because of the theme of the outfit.
The headband has a red, purple, and pink star pattern on it. It also has a really cute tie on it that looks like a bow.
This tunic is adorable. It has a cowl-neck and is pink. It is baggy, but just the right amount. On the bottom right, it says AmericanGirl. The tunic is hot pink.
The pants have the same red, pink, and purple star pattern on them, like the headband. They are so soft!
The pockets aren't real, but that is not a huge problem to me.
Overall, this outfit is spectacular and I would recommend it to anyone. I give it a 10/10! They have it on sale at American Girl.com for only $14! Now, on to a mini photoshoot.
Have a good day! I hope you found my review helpful!
Bonjour, darlings! It’s your favorite doll, Caroline talking! Today, Mom is going to show you how to do an adorable hairstyle on a doll with wavy/curly hair! The best part is, she made this up herself! Oh, and that I will be modeling for you guys! Saige was wearing this style in this post.
A bonus fact about this hairstyle is that your doll’s hair will look like Saige’s hair above once it’s dry when you take it out!
Mom was going to have Saige model, but one day she took my hair out and saw that it REALLY needed to get it’s luxurious wavy curl back. So sit back and enjoy Mom’s post! She will take it from here. Bye, darlings!
Hey guys, what’s up? Like Caroline said, I will be showing you guys a tutorial on how to make braided buns! As you can see, Caroline’s hair needs to be curled, but I decided to show you guys how to do this instead! Let’s get started 🤗
You Will Need:
So your doll doesn’t fall, you can put her between your legs, use a doll stand, or use a doll styling chair. Mine is from another 18 inch doll company, Journey Girls.
1. First, you spritz her hair down with water. Don’t make her hair soaking wet, but make it damp.
2. Next, brush it out. Start at the bottom and work your way up to the top.
When you finish, your doll’s hair should look something like this.
3. Take a section of hair from the side of your doll’s head. The size of the piece is up to you. If you want loose waves, grab a bigger section. If you want tighte curls, grab a smaller section. If you want them to be in the middle(like Saige’s curls in the beginning of this post), grab a piece about the same size as the one in the image above.
4. I like to tie off the hair I’m not using so it doesn’t get in the way. I recommend spritzing and brushing the section of hair up again.
5. Braid the section of hair.
Make sure to pull it tightly!
6. Secure the braid with a ponytail holder/an elastic/a rubber band.
7. Repeat steps 3-6.
Once you have finished braiding your doll's whole head, it will probably look something like this.
8. Carefully take out the ponytail holder of one of the braids.
9. Then, twist the braid to the right.
10. Twist it on the top of her head, like you would make a bun.
11. Finally, secure the braided bun with a bobby pin. Repeat steps 8-11 until you are finished with the whole head.
Viola! You have your braided buns! I hope you like them!
This post was so fun to make, I really enjoy doing this style.
I hope you enjoyed learning how to do the Braided Buns hairstyle! If you have any questions or comments, let me know down below, and don't forget to follow! Have an amazing day!

I always enter these, even though I know I will never win, it is still fun :D Good luck to all who enter and make sure you have your parents permission.
Hey guys! Happy Sunday! As you might have guessed based on the title of this post, I did some sewing today. I know how to sew, but hey, I never said I was good at it. Here are some pre-sewing pictures...
Please excuse the fact that this picture is extremely bad quality. Oh, and that McKenna doesn’t have an clothes on.
All of my materials:
About 20 Minutes Later
I tried to make a dress. Instead...
I would like to give a special thanks to McKenna for agreeing to model, especially since modeling is not McKenna’s thing.
Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful day!
